Format: one day event


Morning:

We will hear IBM and Arrow ECS, their key global distributor, about the IBM partner programme and Global Entrepreneur programme. We will tour the impressive Innovation Lab.

Following that, we will examine how to develop the best go-to-market strategy, balancing all the key elements, review whether and which Channel Strategy is appropriate, the value and leverage to be gained and how it can be developed for your organisation.

Then, we will be given insight into the value of having a coherent Intellectual Property Strategy - a key element of valuation for any technology company -and how to future proof your offering.


Afternoon:

You will be given the opportunity to pitch your solution to the teams from IBM, The Trust Bridge and Arrow ECS, plus a panel of experienced Chief Technology Officers and Chief Information Security Officers and Data Privacy Specialists.

The specialist teams will be running Workshops on Channel Strategy, Sales and Marketing and IP and you can participate in these workshops, and if desired book one on one discussions with our experts.

David Clarke FBCS CITP

David is a highly experienced Chief Information Security Officer, Cyber Security and GDPR Management Consultant with a deep knowledge of Global project delivery and operational leadership. David operates across FTSE 100, SME and startups within Financial Services, FinTech, Telecoms, Technology and Utilities sectors. Including during his roles at BT as Global Head of Product Enablement, Chief of Staff and Head of Service Delivery and whilst Head of Global Security and Information Technology, David has worked with multinational companies developing strong coherent cyber security, GDPR data protection and privacy strategies for them.

His insight into the requirements for practical technology solutions will be central to Tech Partner Jam’s delivery.



Dr Graham Dodgson

Graham is a disruptive product and business creator. An expert in technology development, sourcing, assessment, valuation and licensing, he started his career at Racal and PA Consulting. As Business Development and Marketing Director at with Acorn Computers in the run up to merger with ARM Holdings, EVP of Alliances with Keisense prior to its takeover by Nuance and as SVP Technology for Gemstar (Rovi) in the run up to IPO and subsequent takeover by TimeWarner, his experience with licensing and IP commercialisation is vast. During his time with IP Asset Ventures, he worked with high technology and med tech companies to assess and value their technology and IP, whilst structuring and negotiating technology and manufacturing license deals. . He ran courses on IP for the University of Aarhus as part of the Masters in Health Entrepreneurship.

Graham is currently director of Holoxica, a hard-tech company specialising in a range of true holographic 3D visualisation solutions from static images to video displays where images appear in mid-air and are viewable naturally with the naked eye, so there is no need for glasses or any eyeware.

David Griffith

With a successful 25 year IT channel sales leadership track record behind him at IBM, Oracle and Sun Microsystems, David brings a wealth of experience defining, leading and executing partnerships and sales strategies for a wide range of organisations and their associated channel partners and distributors.

His insight into the barriers of engagement for business partners with large IT vendors and business development skills to build a strategy for new business areas and revenue streams is invaluable. At Tech Partner Jam 2018, David will help participants assess the next generation of organisations in the ecosystem and advise how to leverage them – ISVs, Service Providers, Consulting organisations.

Steve Leyland

Steve is an experienced Board Chairman and Non-Executive Director, with a deep functional knowledge of technology, sales and marketing. This rare combination gives him a comprehensive view of a business and its potential.

Steve has spent his career in the technology sector “scaling-up” tech businesses. He has significant general management, sales and marketing experience, having held leadership roles for such global giants as Intel, Polycom and Barco. He is a proven performer in the unified communications, digital media and telecom fields.


Steve is Chairman of Electrosonic Group, a global, audio-visual design, integration and professional services company and a board member of Helvar Oy Ab., a lighting controls and smart buildings company. In addition to his board work, Steve consults with technology companies on growth, international expansion and turnaround.

During his corporate career, Steve was a member of the executive leadership team at Barco, the global projection and visual collaboration leader and President of the Control Rooms & Simulation Division. Previously, he was President, EMEA for Polycom, the global video conferencing & collaboration leader, held executive roles at Intel Corporation in Europe and was on the leadership team of Dialogic Corporation, based in the US, where he was General Manager of its largest division prior to the company’s acquisition by Intel

Bob Suter, ISV (Independent Software Vendor) Business Development Lead, IBM

Bob leads the ISV programme for IBM and has worked with IBM’s partners in IBM’s Global Technology Services Division for over 30 years.


Marco D'Angelo, Business Sector Manager Arrow ECS - IBM Division (Software/Hardware/Services)

Marco manages a team of driven/focused Business Development Managers tasked with partner recruitment/demand generation/technical and sales enablement within Arrow’s IBM Software Programme. His team builds and develops strategies with vendors and partners.


Dr Bill Limond – Panel Chaiman

Bill is an experienced interim CIO having worked across a number of sectors: Health; Finance; Insurance; Aerospace; Defence; Manufacturing: Glass, Auto, Construction, Steel, Insulation, Paper, Print; Oil and Gas; Energy; Nuclear; Utilities; Transport; Telecoms; FMCG; Retail, Auto; Services; Household & Personal Products; SC-Cleared Central, Local Government, Property; Audit in the UK, Europe, the Gulf and Asia.

Terry is on secondment from the Metropolitan Police, developing national strategy, creating minimum standards and building national policing capability to deliver a victim focused response to cyber dependent and cyber enabled crime impacting regional acting as a conduit between national policing, Home Office and the National Cyber Crime Unit to ensure a truly local to national coordinated response to significant national cyber crime incidents


Colin Wallis, Executive Director, Kantara Initiative Inc

Colin leads the Kantara Initiative Inc. a globally acknowledged ethics based, mission-led Trust Framework Operator of conformity assessment and Trust Marked schemes for Identity, Credential and Consent Management Service Providers. Building on 15 years of contribution to international standards and consortia, Colin maintains other leadership positions across the consortium space in Information Security, Privacy and Trusted Identity. He representts Kantara on the OECD's ITAC (Internet technical Advisory Committee) and is a Board Director of the US NSTIC IDESG. He resigned his role as NZ's HoD in ISO JTC1 SC27, his Board post on the Cloud Security Alliance's (CSA) NZ Chapter and his positions in OASIS all linked to his public service employment in New Zealand before moving to the UK early in 2016 to run Kantara. Colin was named in OWI's Top 100 Influencers in Identity in 2018


Tara Taubman- Bassirian

Tara Taubman is a French lawyer based in the UK. With a decade of involvement on privacy and data protection, she holds a Masters in Computer and communications Law from Queen Mary University of London. She is a GDPR and information law consultant and is a GDPR Awareness Coalition ambassador. She previously assisted the Open Rights Group with the reform of the Data Protection Directive.

Nominated Privacy hero of the month in June 2018, Tara has expertise in areas of privacy, intellectual property and data protection, she is well known globally.

An early adaptor of emerging technologies, Tara understands intimately the challenges presented by regulations in the era of high connectivity and she is a trusted advisor to individuals and businesses looking to navigate the legal pathways to justice in the internet age. Over the past couple years, Tara has been very active in raising awareness of the new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), advising businesses on the relevant compliance requirements.
